Mr. Naresh Makwana is one of the first few Light Designers and a qualified mechanical engineer who belongs from the first families in the field of lighting in India since 1960. We have forged our name in light designing, manufacturing and distribution with an enormous experience of 50 years. We have seen the lighting business evolve from the days of GLS tungsten filament in the 50s, to fluorescent tube light fittings in the late 60s and then to compact fluorescent lamp lighting in the 80s.

About Us
Lumens Semiconductors, founded in 2010 by Naresh Batuklal Makwana, stands as a testament to his family's extensive experience in the lighting industry spanning five decades. With a rich heritage in lighting, including the manufacturing of various types of lights such as Tube lights, Street lights, and Flood lights for notable entities like TNEB (Tamil Nadu Electricity Board) and ICF (Integral Coach Factory), the Makwana family has been at the forefront of the industry's evolution.
Naresh Batuklal Makwana, being a pioneer in the lighting sector, recognized the shifting trends in lighting technologies. The company witnessed the transition from traditional GLS TUNGSTEN bulbs to FLORESCENT TUBELIGHTS, followed by Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs), and eventually, Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). This evolution reflects Lumens Semiconductors' adaptability and commitment to staying abreast of cutting-edge technologies.

Basic principle of lighting remains the same, only the source of lighting has been constantly changing from the last 5 decades.
